We made a very special trip last week to check in with Chris and Cindy at The Coal Bunker. Safe to say the 3 hour drive to Wales was worth it! 🌈
The Coal Bunker team have understood our vision from day one, with quality and care at the forefront of all of their builds. They pride themselves on building lodges to building regulation standards, which sadly isn't the case for all glamping sites given the grey area the industry currently sits in. They've also allowed us to keep the lodges bespoke, introducing the mezzanine skylights and widening windows in the side annexe to make the most of the natural light (and famous sunsets) Hunscote has to offer.
10 days into the build and the team have the frame, insulation and electrics sorted. Seeing them at this stage has reminded me what good hands we're in with Chris and Cindy, and why we chose to take this journey with them.
We can't wait to see the next phase - floors/walls and outer cladding - and get the lodges on site in a couple of weeks time!
