Trees!
As part of our new venture - Hunscote Farm Lodges - we are delighted to be working with the Trees Call To Action Project (TCAP), who have very kindly donated 150 trees to help bring new life to our site. We went to collect our trees last week and couldn’t be happier!
TCAP was launched in July 2022 by the Heart of England Forest in partnership with Stratford-on-Avon, Warwick, and Wychavon District Councils. The project was set up in response to the climate and biodiversity crisis we are all facing, and is supporting landowners and local communities to increase tree coverage and reconnect with nature.
Rewilding our site and giving back to the land which has served us so well for generations is such an important part of this project. TCAP were able to provide us with a mix of hedgerow, woodland and fruit trees. Without this support, we would have struggled to source such an abundance of quality saplings.
We've put the trees to sleep for a couple of weeks, until we are ready to introduce them to their permanent homes. I already have visions of guests stepping out of their cabins in the coming years to pick apples and pears from the fruit trees. It's honestly a dream come true, and it's all thanks to TCAP.
Thank you to Lindsay, Emma, Simon and the rest of the TCAP team! Looking forward to staying connected as we move through this exciting stage of the project :)
